Mo Beans the Dog needs a home

Pretty, Pretty Pig Princes Beans

She wears clothes, including jeans

Will stay clean by any means (Seriously? You expect me to walk though THAT!?)

Makes us laugh so hard we feel it in our spleens

Prefers her bacon with collard greens

Demands to be driven round in decked out limousines (or, ya know, a regular car is fine too. I guess.)

Has some special needs*

Wants to be your queen of queens

Once you meet her you’ll be holler’n, “MO BEANS, PLEASE!”

*The Fine Print

The Good: I’m a super happy little pig and love everyone that I meet. I’m housetrained. I’m good with other dogs, though my play style is a little rude and in-your-face. I should only live with dogs that have good interpersonal skills and a reasonable tolerance for shenanigans. I have not met cats yet, but I’m fairly lazy and the cats that run loose in the neighborhood haven’t been very exciting to me. I like to go on walks, but not in the cold, the rain, the snow, the mud (you get the idea). I’m very food motivated and like to play training games. Whoever I lived with before arriving at the shelter taught me how to shake and give high fives. It’s my favorite way to say hello to new friends.

The Bad: I have some issues with my crate. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my crate. Foster mom says I’m obsessed with it. I also like to steal and hoard items I find around the house in there. If I’m feeling really squirrely, I’ll completely destroy them. Unless I’m calm and relaxed I won’t come out of the crate and leave my treasures behind, or let you have them back. I don’t try to bite if you attempt to take them away, but I don’t let go. For anything. You CAN.NOT.HAVE. my preciouses!

Foster mom set up what she calls a ‘management plan’. It’s dumb. She says it helps to keep me from practicing the ‘naughty’ behaviors at all, so that I can’t get better at them. I have a special crate in the bedroom, mom calls it my Pig Pen, and if we are in the bedroom I’m in the pen. If I’m not in my pen and loose in the house, the bedroom door is closed and I can’t get to my pen. We spend lots of time together in the bedroom so I’ve learned that the pen is a place to go and relax. I don’t get to have toys to obsess over in the pen either. She says it’s working well, I haven’t done what she calls ‘Hulking Out’ in a few weeks. My new family will need to work closely with my foster mom to set up a system at my new house to keep the green beast inside of me from showing up. Which also means I will only be adopted to families that live in the Twin Cities metro area. She thinks I would be a good candidate to not be crated in the future, if that seems like the best next step. I have very nice house manners. But for the first several weeks in my new home I will need structure, routine, and a good management plan to set me up for success. While I have liked all the children I have met, because the green beast sleeps inside of me I will only be adopted to families with children in the home that are 16+ years old. I need all the two-legged folks I live with able to follow through with my management plan.

The Ugly: Staying true to the stereotype of white bull-breed dogs, I have skin issues. I need a bath with special shampoo 2-3 times a week right now. I take antihistamines, a few nutritional supplements, and have some topical cream to use on spots I may chew or scratch too much. Foster mom has me on a very restricted diet for now (duck and legumes). Everything that goes into me, from my treats to my food and my pill pockets, only contains duck and legumes. I may or may not have food sensitivities, it’s too early to tell, but the goal of my elimination diet is to remove as many factors as possible from my life that may be causing my skin issues, then slowly add them back in over time. That will make it easier for my people to narrow down what is bothering me. One thing is for sure, I am super duper sensitive to perfumes and fragrances in household products. My bedding, clothes, and collars can only be washed in soaps free from scents and dyes. Even things that go in the dryer with scented dryer sheets can cause me issues. If you plan to snuggle with me in bed or on the couch, you’ll need to only wash your blankies in the same things. I break out in hives, chew and scratch myself raw, and my hair starts falling out when I am in contact with those things for too long. I’ll need a family that is committed to removing those types of household cleaning products from my life as much as possible. I wear doggie t-shirts, and full body jammies, at foster mom’s house to help protect my skin from the various fabrics and upholsteries around the house that have had those products used on them and can’t be tossed in the washing machine to remove them. I look super cute in clothes though, and don’t mind wearing them at all, including boots.

If you think you have what it takes to cater to the needs and wants of a 45lb pig princess with temperamental skin, hit us up. You’ll love this little ham.
